Read text from scanned PDF pages

Use English OCR to turn words in scanned pages into text you can copy and edit. Choose a TXT or Word document output.

Open PDF OCR →

How it works

  1. Add a scanned PDF containing up to 20 pages.
  2. Choose Scan to text or Scan to Word in the OCR tools.
  3. Review recognized text for errors, then save the TXT or DOCX result.

Before you start

English only; up to 20 pages per OCR run. Recognition can make mistakes. Word output contains editable text, not the original layout, images or tables. This does not add a searchable text layer to a PDF.

Keep your original file and review the saved result before sharing.

This tool processes document contents in your browser. Account, saved-workflow and billing data are handled separately. Your files do not transfer between browsers or devices.
